A Long Weekend on Gili Trawangan: Diving and Free Diving with Turtles
I spent a long weekend on Gili Trawangan, Indonesia, diving and free diving with sea turtles. The island's waters are home to green and hawksbill turtles, making it one of the best places in the world to observe these gentle creatures. Although I spent most of my time underwater, the island's tranquil atmosphere and stunning sunsets made it a perfect escape from the city, while local conservation efforts ensure the continued protection of its turtle population.

However, during my recent dive, I noticed signs of coral bleaching and the impact of inexperienced divers, showing that even this pristine location is not immune to environmental pressures.
