A scuba travel map for cities and dive sites

If you dive and travel, you probably already have two half-answers. A dive log for sites and depths. A travel map or passport tracker for cities and countries. Putting a trip together means opening both and guessing.

I wanted one map. Cities I actually slept in, and dive sites from the same week, on the same world view. That map is Finprints. The public version of my log sits on /map. The post below embeds it if you want to poke around without leaving the page.

What it is for

Finprints is not a hotel or restaurant finder. It is a personal footprint map:

• Cities when you were really there
• Dive sites from a catalogue or your own log import
• Optional dive details that stay private even when the pin is public
• An embed you can drop into a blog post or forum reply

You can start as a guest. Pins stay on the device until you create an account and sync.

Why divers care

Most “where have I been” maps stop at countries or cities. Dive trips are site-shaped. Brothers, Daedalus, and a capital city on the same week should read as one story on the map, not three different tools.
